Matariki and Arbor Day
Visit Battle Hill Farm Forest Park on Monday 23rd June and help celebrate Matariki and Arbor Day.
Starting at 10.00am, Greater Wellington Regional Council personnel, along with Iwi partners, local schools and community groups, will be planting 1,000 native trees in the park to help with the restoration of the park.
Wear warm clothes and sturdy shoes. Some tools will be provided but your own spade and gardening gloves will be helpful.
There will be a free BBQ following the planting and tea and coffee will be available all day.
This is a free event, open to everyone to attend.
Cancellation information will be on Newstalk ZB and the Breeze.
