Wellington Airport Community Awards

The PRA is proud to be named as a finalist in the Porirua region Heritage & Environment category of the Wellington Airport Community Awards.

The PRA was nominated for the award following on from the huge success of the Pauatahanui history book - "Pauatahanui: A local history" by author Helen Reilly and published by the PRA.

The nomination noted that the book was the product of five years’ work by a small group of volunteers, the Pauatahanui History Group,  who worked closely with the PRA and the author to meet the aim of producing a history book of high quality for use by local residents, libraries, schools, and academics, as well as those with a connection to Pāuatahanui and Whitby.
